What it is
Manuscript turns sheet music and audio into a score video: upload MusicXML and a recording, anchor a few notes to the moments they sound, and every note lights up as it plays — styled, animated, and exported without leaving your browser.
How it works
MusicXML, MXL, or MEI with MP3 or WAV — or pull the audio straight out of a performance video.
Auto-sync listens to the performance and proposes the anchors. Accept them, or set your own — click a note, press Enter where it sounds. Scrub at quarter speed, pitch intact, for the hard bars.
Curve the staff along a drawn path, tilt it in perspective, add shadow and glow — and reveal each note only as it plays.
Every frame is drawn and encoded in your browser — no queue, no render farm. Up to 4K, audio muxed in.
The details
Grace notes land as acciaccatura or appoggiatura; rolled chords can finish on the beat, the way they're actually played.
Tied notes light as one event and hold for their full sounding length — not per notehead.
Hide what hasn't played yet, fade notes in ahead of the playhead, and fade them out behind it.
A color, an image, or full video behind the score, with crops and aspect ratios to match.
Folders, autosave, and undo in both editors keep a recital's worth of projects tidy.
A personal project, shared as is: every feature is open, 4K export included, with 10 GB of storage per account.
